Great product! This has really hit the mark. I’ve tested them all and this has the basics down pat. The only thing I really miss is a ‘pencil’ tool for quick drawing. Any chances this is comming?

awesome program!
what i would really need to advertize your program is the ability to make screenshots of scrolled windows!
that would definately make most other programs obsolete!

Thanks for your feedback, Jozef.
You can do this already, however (currently) not directly.
Just take two screenshots, so that there are two editor windows open. Copy one of the screenshots to the clipboard (Ctrl+Shift+C), focus the other editor window and paste the image (Ctrl+V). Here you are, screenshot within screenshot :)

Hi Alex,
Currently the installer is not available as msi file. The current is reported to be working fine on 32 and 64bit systems, though.

We have actually decided to put the installer version front, since it is a lot easier to use and does not have any drawbacks.

Regarding to your error: have you copied all the files and folders from the ZIP to the stick? It should not be a problem to run Greenshot from a USB stick.
If you still encounter problems, please file a bug report.

Did you get the link working? I have never had any problems with it, there has probably been a temporary issue with the SourceForge site (where our downloadable files reside). Please try to download again.

We have changed a lot for Greenshot 0.8, also made improvements to the clipboard code, there are good chances that your problem is resolved with the new version.

Thanks for your feedback. Something similar has been suggested not long ago, so I have created a feature request for this:

The solution could be a hotkey / toggle key or button. We just have to take care that it doesn’t get too complicated :)

Hi,

Nice app but needs some improvements like :
.. snapshot a scrolling window
.. centered snapshot in the editor, it will be usefull to use tools
.. maybe a zoom in editor

I need to “rectify”, the Dutch translation was made by me but corrected by Jurjen Ladenius as my Dutch (though being Dutch) was never very good and I have been living in Germany way to long.

The thanks go to Jurjen, who is also mentioned in the XML as the main translator.
